Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa is one of the finer Sonoma hotels in which a guest is pampered into total relaxation. This hotel is in the town of Sonoma, which is in the heart of Sonoma wine country on a natural hot mineral water spring first used by the Native Americans.
The present hotel was built in 1927 as an accurate replica of a California Mission. A complete renovation was undertaken in 1980 bringing back the grandeur of the 1920’s mission with additional renovations and expansions completed in 2000. The whole complex now encompasses 40,000 sq feet of area inside and out doors. This is the only resort in the Sonoma valley with its own private therapeutic hot spring for the exclusive enjoyment of their guests.
For their guests dining enjoyment there are a number of options including the Big Three and Sante restaurants. The Big Three has been serving guests at this establishment for over 50 years in a bistro style atmosphere with American cuisine. The Sante is the AAA Four Diamond award winning dining room at the Mission Inn. Only the freshest local produce is used along with meats, poultry and seafood is served as simple yet elegant dishes. The wine list has over 500 Sonoma and Napa wines available from the Inn’s cellars to make a selection from for the guests dinning enjoyment.
The overnight accommodation includes rooms with historic wine country themes with marble baths, polished granite counter tops and fireplaces as an option. For those that wish to occupy a suite they range in sizes are from 500 to 600 sq feet with all the amenities one would expect at a first class inn including internet access through out the Inn.
